AI tools

TruePeptideSource in ChatGPT and Claude.

Ask your assistant about a peptide and it pulls our dose ranges, side effects and storage, then runs our calculators for the syringe math. Free, read-only and no sign-in.

What it can do

Six tools, all reading the same records and calculators as this site.

  • Look up a peptide

    peptide_lookup

    Dose ranges and protocols, each labelled by where the number came from, plus side effects, storage, half-life, FDA status and what Reddit communities report.

    “What doses do people use for BPC-157, and where do those numbers come from?”

  • Reconstitution and syringe units

    peptide_reconstitution_calculator

    How many units to draw on an insulin syringe, the concentration after mixing and doses per vial. It also works backwards from units drawn to the dose they hold.

    “I mixed a 10 mg vial of retatrutide with 2 mL of water. How many units is 2 mg?”

  • Search peptides

    peptide_search

    Finds which peptides the site covers by name, alias or category, with a one-line summary and FDA status for each.

    “Which GLP-1 peptides do you cover?”

  • Compare two peptides

    peptide_compare

    Two peptides side by side: evidence, FDA status, half-life, reported doses, frequency, vial sizes and storage, every row labelled by origin.

    “Semaglutide vs tirzepatide: how do the doses and half-lives differ?”

  • Blend calculator

    peptide_blend_calculator

    For vials with two or more peptides, like KLOW, GLOW or BPC-157 + TB-500: units to draw and how much of each peptide one draw delivers.

    “My KLOW vial has 3 mL of water in it. How many units give me 500 mcg of BPC-157?”

  • Supply and cost

    peptide_supply_calculator

    How long a vial lasts, how many vials a cycle needs and what it costs, counting whole doses and how long a mixed vial keeps.

    “2.5 mg of TB-500 twice a week for 8 weeks from 10 mg vials at $60 each. How many vials, and what does it cost?”

Add it to Claude

  1. In Claude on the web or the desktop app, open Settings > Connectors.
  2. Choose Add custom connector, name it TruePeptideSource and paste this URL:
https://truepeptidesource.com/mcp
  1. Leave the sign-in fields empty. There is no account or key, so add it and you are done.
  2. In a chat, check that TruePeptideSource is switched on in the tools menu, then ask away.

Use it in ChatGPT

ChatGPT can add the same server as a custom connector on plans that offer developer mode: open ChatGPT's settings, turn on developer mode under connectors or apps, then add a connector with the MCP server URL above and no sign-in.

Any MCP client

The server speaks Streamable HTTP at the URL above. Claude Code (.mcp.json), Cursor (.cursor/mcp.json) and most clients that read an mcpServers file take this:

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "truepeptidesource": {
      "type": "http",
      "url": "https://truepeptidesource.com/mcp"
    }
  }
}

VS Code uses a servers key in .vscode/mcp.json:

{
  "servers": {
    "truepeptidesource": {
      "type": "http",
      "url": "https://truepeptidesource.com/mcp"
    }
  }
}

Or add it to Claude Code from the terminal:

claude mcp add --transport http truepeptidesource https://truepeptidesource.com/mcp

Developers

The same six tools are a plain REST API. POST a JSON body to /api/v1/tools/<tool name>, for example /api/v1/tools/peptide_lookup. The OpenAPI spec describes every input and works as a custom GPT Action as is.

Free, no API key, rate limited per IP. A 429 means slow down and try again in a minute. Each answer carries links to its source page; please keep them when you show the result.

How answers stay honest

  • The math is ours. Syringe units, concentrations, blend splits and supply counts come from the same tested code as our calculators. The assistant gets the finished numbers to quote, so it has no arithmetic to get wrong.
  • Every dose says where it came from. Clinical study, competitor or vendor guide, community-reported or regulatory, using the same labels as the methodology page.
  • Every answer links back. Results point to the peptide page or calculator they came from, with its sources and the date it last changed.
  • Read-only. The tools read public data. They get only the peptide names and numbers your assistant sends, never your chat, your account or anything you saved here. Privacy has the details.

Like the rest of the site, it is educational information, not medical advice.
