Limited human data

Six small to mid-size company-funded human trials, oral and IV, with about 900 people, including single IV doses of 25 to 400 mcg/kg. Most report safety only; no antibodies formed and IGF-1 did not change. The one efficacy trial failed. None used the subcutaneous route people use today. Joint claims rest on one rabbit study.
