Skin lightening (IV trial)
Who: 50 women in one placebo-controlled study (Zubair 2016)
Note: 37.5% lightened on glutathione vs 18.7% on placebo, and the effect faded over 6 months after stopping. The infusion also contained vitamin C.
Also known as: GSH · L-glutathione · Reduced glutathione · L-glutathione reduced · Gluta · Glutathione peptide · gamma-Glu-Cys-Gly

Every Glutathione protocol on file, 19 in all, labelled by where each number came from. 1 have titration steps, each step is worked out in U-100 units for a 600 mg vial + 3 mL water.
Who: 50 women in one placebo-controlled study (Zubair 2016)

Who: 60 healthy medical students in Thailand
Note: Melanin index dropped at all six sites, beating placebo at two.
Note: Guide convention for learning how the injection feels. At 200 mg/mL, 100 mg is 50 units. The same guide lists IM as an option and says it often stings less.
Note: No controlled trial has tested injected glutathione below 600 mg, so this dose is convention. At 200 mg/mL a 200 mg dose fills a whole 1 mL syringe.
Timing: Any consistent time of day.
| When | Dose | U-100 units (600 mg vial + 3 mL water) |
|---|---|---|
| Weeks 1 to 2 | 100 mg | 50 units · 0.5 mL |
| Weeks 3 to 4 | 150 mg | 75 units · 0.75 mL |
| Weeks 5 to 8 | 200 mg | 100 units · 1 mL |
Note: Built for a 600 mg vial mixed with 2 mL (300 mg/mL). The same guide allows every-other-day dosing instead of daily.
Note: Posters pick delts or glutes over the thigh, which several say hurts most. One poster ran 1.5 g a week into the glutes and noticed little change.
Note: SubQ users report more sting and lumps than IM users. Posters warn that big volumes under the skin clear slowly.
Who: 50 people with advanced gastric cancer on weekly cisplatin
Note: Each week also started with 1.5 g/m2 IV just before cisplatin. Neuropathy was much rarer than on placebo. A medical protocol, not a home plan.
Note: Clinic practice, mostly for skin lightening. IV is the route behind most of the serious adverse event reports. For tested athletes, a drip over 100 mL in 12 hours outside hospital care is a WADA-prohibited method.
Who: 21 people with Parkinson's disease not well controlled on their medicines
Note: Well tolerated, but no significant difference from placebo on the UPDRS.
Note: The pharmacy says its 200 mg/mL injection is given IV or IM by a healthcare professional and that the prescriber sets dose and frequency.
Who: 54 healthy non-smoking adults
Note: Both doses raised blood glutathione, and levels fell back to baseline a month after stopping.
Who: Healthy women
Who: 34 people with NAFLD, open-label, no placebo arm
Note: ALT fell after 4 months. No control group, so the effect size is uncertain.
Who: 40 healthy adults
Note: No change in oxidative stress markers or glutathione status. This is the main trial behind the claim that plain oral glutathione does not absorb.
Who: 12 healthy adults
Note: Blood glutathione rose within 1 to 2 weeks. Tiny study; no difference between the two doses.
Who: 45 people with early to mid-stage Parkinson's disease
Note: All groups improved, placebo included; neither dose beat placebo. One person on the high dose developed cardiomyopathy.

Calculate with this peptideYour vial, your water, your dose: Glutathione in syringe units, with the math shown.Diluent: Bacteriostatic water (some users prefer bacteriostatic saline)
Water volumes sources use: 2 mL, 3 mL, 5 mL, 6 mL
Plan around volume: at 200 mg/mL a 200 mg dose fills a whole 1 mL syringe, and larger doses will not fit. Strong mixes near 300 mg/mL turn thick and sting more, so posters dilute back to 200 mg/mL. Good reduced glutathione dissolves clear, sometimes after sitting a while; powder that turns milky and settles is a red flag.
Take the next scheduled dose and carry on. With a plasma half-life of about 14 minutes there is no level to catch up on. After a gap of more than two weeks, one guide restarts at the starter dose.
Guides put the home dose at 200 mg two to three times a week (400 to 600 mg a week), starting at 100 mg twice a week. On r/Peptides people run 200 to 600 mg IM anywhere from once a week to every other day. Clinics give 600 to 1,200 mg IV once or twice a week. No trial has tested the 100 to 200 mg home doses.
Oral trials used 250 to 1,000 mg a day. 250 mg a day lightened skin a little over 12 weeks, 500 mg a day over 4 weeks, and 250 or 1,000 mg a day raised blood levels over 6 months. Supplement labels commonly suggest one to three capsules a day.
No maximum has been set. The highest repeated oral dose in a long trial was 1,000 mg a day for 6 months, and a single 3 g oral dose was tested for absorption. IV trials used 1,400 mg three times a week. One compounding pharmacy says risks rise above 5 grams.
For 600 mg, guides use 3 mL (200 mg/mL, so 100 mg is 50 units) or 2 mL (300 mg/mL). For 1,500 mg, r/Peptides users report 3 to 6 mL. Run the water down the vial wall, swirl, and let it sit until clear. Stronger mixes get thick and sting more.
Guides say 28 days at 2 to 8 C, out of light. That figure comes from a pharmacy's preserved vial, and a self-mixed vial has no stability data, so some users finish a vial within a week or two. Discard it if it turns cloudy or dark.
The liposomal pilot used 500 or 1,000 mg a day for a month and saw no difference between doses. Consumer labels are lower: one lists 100 mg per 1 mL serving, held under the tongue.
Users who run these together on r/Peptides mostly keep them in separate syringes. Posters warn against combining glutathione and GHK-Cu, and NAD+ users dose it apart. No stability data exists for any mix.
