IV safety study (synthetic protein)
Who: 40 healthy volunteers in four cohorts of 10 (2010 Phase 1).
Note: A safety study, not a treatment. IV doses of 42 to 1,260 mg bear no relation to subQ vial doses.
Also known as: Thymosin beta 4 · Tβ4 · TB4 · TB-4 · Full-length thymosin beta-4 · TMSB4X · RGN-259 · RGN-137 · NL005

Every Thymosin beta-4 protocol on file, 10 in all, labelled by where each number came from.

Who: 54 healthy Chinese volunteers in seven ascending cohorts (2021 Phase 1).
Who: 30 healthy Chinese volunteers in three cohorts (2021 Phase 1).
Who: Adults with acute myocardial infarction after PCI (Phase 2, 90 enrolled).
Note: The registry gives the high dose as 1.0 mcg/kg in the arm and 1.5 mcg/kg in the intervention; the middle dose is 0.5 mcg/kg. Results not posted.
Who: Adults with venous stasis ulcers at eight European sites (Phase 2, 73 randomised).
Note: 0.03% looked most promising; about 25% healed completely within 3 months.
Who: Adults with pressure ulcers (Phase 2, 72 enrolled).
Note: Tested at 0.01, 0.02 and 0.1%.
Timing: Morning on dosing days.
Note: The guide says no validated human dose exists. A 5 mg vial lasts about 17 days at this rate.
Note: Inherited from TB-500 fragment practice. Not tested in any human trial of the full protein.
Note: An anecdotal outlier.

Calculate with this peptideYour vial, your water, your dose: Thymosin beta-4 in syringe units, with the math shown.Diluent: Bacteriostatic water
Water volumes sources use: 2 mL
Water volumes for TB-500 vials are not assumed to apply. Check what your vial actually contains before using any TB-500 table.
Three very different ranges: 42 to 1,260 mg IV daily for 14 days in a 2010 safety study; 0.5 to 5 mcg per kg IV daily in the newer recombinant programme; and gels of 0.01 to 0.1% or 0.1% eye drops applied to the wound or eye. None were subQ injections.
No subQ dose has been tested. One guide uses 750 mcg twice weekly. Off-label protocols borrowed from TB-500 run 2 to 5 mg twice weekly for 4 to 6 weeks, then 2 to 2.5 mg weekly.
One guide adds 2 mL of bacteriostatic water for 2.5 mg/mL, so 750 mcg is 30 units on a U-100 syringe. Use the calculator for other mixes.
Keep it at 2 to 8 C. One guide says 7 to 10 days, another 30 days. Do not freeze it.
