Oxytocin vs PT-141

Updated 7 sources

Key differences

  1. 1PT-141 acts on melanocortin (MC4R) receptors and drives desire and arousal; oxytocin acts on oxytocin receptors and shapes bonding and the after-orgasm feeling.
  2. 2In trials, nasal oxytocin did not change drive, arousal or erection, and in women with sexual dysfunction it did no better than placebo. Guides call PT-141 the stronger libido tool.
  3. 3PT-141 is injected hours before sex; oxytocin is sprayed 30 to 45 minutes before.
