How it is thought to work. Two parts in one molecule. The cyclic CKGGRAKDC head binds prohibitin, a protein found on the inner lining of blood vessels in white fat. The D(KLAKLAK)2 tail is a membrane-disrupting sequence that triggers apoptosis once inside those cells. Losing their vessels, fat cells die and are cleared. Obese monkeys also ate less on it, and lean monkeys given the same dose did not lose weight.

Calculate with this peptideYour vial, your water, your dose: Adipotide in syringe units, with the math shown. From clinical trials and regulatory documents.
Dose-dependent in all three monkey species tested. Serum creatinine rose at doses above 0.25 mg/kg; urine showed glucose and protein; mostly reversed within 28 days of stopping.
How people manage it
Treated monkeys produced more urine; mild dehydration at the highest doses
Mild to moderate, time- and dose-dependent drops in serum levels
Weight loss came with lower food intake; no overt nausea or vomiting seen
From community reports and dosing guides. Not measured rates.
Reported by several Reddit users
How people manage it
One daily log reports a few minutes of burning and itch after most shots, easing over the run
How people manage it
One Reddit user, after the first shot taken fasted
How people manage it
One user after 5 mg a day for 21 days; rest of the metabolic panel normal
How people manage it
One user after 2 mg a day for 30 days
Kidney disease or reduced kidney functionCondition
Kidney tubule injury was the main finding in monkeys, and the human trial only enrolled people with near-normal creatinine and less than 2,000 mg of urine protein a day.
NSAIDs and other kidney-stressing drugsSubstance
The human trial barred NSAIDs, IV vancomycin, aminoglycosides and other strongly nephrotoxic drugs from consent until 30 days after the last dose; low-dose aspirin (81 mg or less) was allowed.
Uncontrolled high blood pressure or diabetesCondition
Both were exclusions in the human trial, because they can hide existing kidney damage.
Freezer at -20 °C, dry and dark. One vendor says the powder keeps up to 24 months frozen.
Fridge at 2 to 8 °C, protected from light, no freeze-thaw. Guides disagree on the window: 7 to 14 days on one, 30 days on another.
Mixed with: Bacteriostatic water
Mixing. The peptidedosages charts scale the water to the vial so every size lands near 3.33 mg/mL. Inject the water down the vial wall and swirl, do not shake.
The most common pairing on Reddit: adipotide as a short finisher on top of a retatrutide cut. Some users push back that stacking makes it impossible to tell what adipotide did.
Paired by users chasing stubborn love-handle fat, one at 300 mcg adipotide a day.
One user runs KLOW and adipotide together in the evening, 5 days on and 2 off, next to retatrutide.
Added with retatrutide for a 4-week high-deficit finisher alongside 3 mg adipotide.
Mice: about 30% weight loss in 4 weeks with fat ablation (2004). Obese rhesus monkeys: 0.43 mg/kg daily for 28 days cut body weight 7.4 to 14.7% and total body fat 38.7% by the end of recovery, and improved insulin resistance; lean monkeys did not lose weight; kidney tubule changes were dose-dependent and mostly reversible. Humans: no results exist. The one Phase 1 trial was terminated after 4 participants and posted nothing.
No approval, no trial program and not on FDA's compounding lists.
Not FDA approved for any use. Its only human trial, a Phase 1 study at MD Anderson in obese men with advanced prostate cancer (NCT01262664), was terminated at the investigator's request after enrolling 4 people, with no results posted. It is not on FDA's 503A nominated-substance lists or its compounding safety-risk page.
WADA does not name adipotide on its 2026 List, and it fits none of the named classes. The S0 catch-all bans at all times any substance with no human therapeutic approval, including discontinued drug candidates, which on its plain wording could include adipotide. No source rules on it directly, so we mark it unknown. FDA has never assessed it for compounding, so its absence from those lists means it was never reviewed.
WADA: Not confirmed
A designed peptide, also called FTPP or prohibitin-TP01, built at MD Anderson. One end homes to the blood vessels of white fat, the other end triggers cell death, so fat tissue loses its blood supply.
In obese monkeys it caused rapid weight loss, a 38.7% drop in total body fat by the end of a 4-week recovery, and better insulin sensitivity. In mice it reversed obesity. None of this has been shown in people.
In the fixed-dose study, 10 obese rhesus monkeys on 0.43 mg/kg a day for 4 weeks lost 7.4 to 14.7% of body weight, while controls changed between +1.0 and -3.5%. Press coverage rounded this to about 11%.
Kidney changes were the main side effect in monkeys: higher creatinine above 0.25 mg/kg, glucose and protein in the urine, and small tubule lesions. Most of it reversed within 28 days of stopping, and the authors called it mild, predictable and reversible. No human kidney data were ever published.
Once. A Phase 1 trial at MD Anderson in obese men with advanced prostate cancer started at 0.03 mg/kg a day for 28 days. It was terminated at the investigator's request after 4 people enrolled, and no results were posted.
There is no proven human dose. A competitor chart climbs from 250 mcg to 1 mg a day over 8 weeks. Reddit users report 300 mcg to 1 mg a day for 2 to 3 weeks, 2 to 3 mg a day for about 4 weeks, and a few go to 4 or 5 mg.
The common choice is 3 mL of bacteriostatic water, about 3.33 mg/mL. On a U-100 syringe, 1 unit is then about 33 mcg, so 250 mcg is 7.5 units and 1 mg is 30 units.
Short. The monkey study and the human trial both ran 28 days. Community runs are 15 to 30 days, often followed by at least 4 weeks off. A competitor chart goes to 8 weeks.
No. It has no approval, and FDA has never reviewed it for compounding: it is absent from the 503A nominated-substance lists and the compounding safety-risk page.
WADA does not name it on the 2026 List. Its S0 class bans any substance with no human therapeutic approval at all times, including discontinued drug candidates, and on plain wording that could include adipotide. No ruling addresses it directly, so we list its status as unknown. A tested athlete would be relying on S0 not applying.
Opinion is split. Many users warn against it because of the monkey kidney findings, and some own it but will not use it. Users who have run it mostly report frequent urination and normal or near-normal labs, and they stress hydration and kidney bloodwork.
Creatinine and BUN on a metabolic panel before, during and right after a run, plus cystatin-C, compared against your own baseline. Some also dip urine strips for glucose and protein daily, the same changes seen in the monkeys.
No. Lean rhesus monkeys at 0.25 and 0.43 mg/kg kept their weight, and the high-dose group held steady or lost a little. The authors suggest the effect may be specific to obesity.
No. AOD-9604 is a fragment of growth hormone. Adipotide is an unrelated peptide that targets the blood vessels of fat.
The registry only says it was terminated at the investigator's request. No reason or results were posted, so claims that it stopped over human kidney damage are not backed by the record.
